Holiday Inn Johor Bahru Central
Missing pre-covid days! where we can just take a day trip/weekend stay to Johor Bahru, I haven’t stepped into Malaysia for 3.5years! I managed to book a one-way VTL bus ticket to Larkin and took this opportunity to rest and revisit Malaysia again! I will be travelling up north and documenting my stays along the way!
I have been wanting to stay in this property and for obvious reasons, I wasn’t able to until now. I have decided to stay for a night before heading north to Malacca. I booked the 1 King Bed Standard City View (No Breakfast) on a IHG rewards club member rate. This cost RM271.44 (S$89 nett). As a Platinum Elite Member, I was offered a complimentary upgrade to King Bed Premium Walk-in Shower. It was well located and within walking distance to shopping malls so I have decided to save some money and have my meal out
Room Tour
The only facility I used was the swimming pool which is located on the 32nd floor. The view was beautiful, with a good view of the causeway and since land travel between Johor & Singapore was still close it was really quiet.

Thoughts
I enjoyed my stay with Holiday Inn Johor Bahru, the staff was very nice and attentive, the room was very spacious and clean. It’s way too comfortable for a solo traveller but It wouldn’t hurt to clock 2X points with IHG 2X Unlimited Promotion
