Jonker Walk in March 2022

I am back in Malacca after 4years! How did the time pass by so quickly?? I have been here a few times in the past with my friends and surprisingly this is my first solo trip here. Due to the pandemic, it’s not as lively as before, It’s saddening to see so many empty stalls and I really hope tourism will be back

Keeping my budget low while travelling solo is very important for me. I have signed up for a few hotel rewards programs (it’s free anyway) and try to clock the nights whenever I travel! Accor ran 2x Status Points and nights in 2021 and I was upgraded to Silver for half the requirement. The perk that benefitted me the most was the “free welcome drink” and “late check-out” (subject to availability though).

Room Tour

STANDARD ROOM WITH 2 SINGLE BEDS – NO BREAKFAST
Bed Side- USB Charger available
Work Desk
Coffee/Tea Station
Welcome drink voucher, redeemable in ibis kitchen

The only issue that I want to point out was the soundproofing. The banging of doors, footsteps from the upper level and kids screaming can be disturbing if you are a light sleeper. I loved how it was located, within walking distance to Little India, Jonker Street. Plenty of food choices and I will never go hungry. Delighted to stay with ibis Melaka, till next time!
