I visited Hanoi briefly back in 2017. I have 3 days on this trip and can’t wait to explore more! It was July and the weather was warmer than expected, plus the humidity was over 40ºC – it was insane!
My choice of accommodation was Mercure Hanoi la Gare. Accor is running a “Discover Asia Like Never Before” deal, 10% off stays and complimentary breakfast. I paid a total of SGD$170 for 2 night’s stay. If you are not in a rush and with light luggage, Airport Bus Express 86 is the way to go. It cost VND45000 (cash only), alight at Hanoi Railway Station (final stop) and it’s a walking distance away.

Thoughts
Overall I had a great stay here, service was excellent and exceeded my expectation (I have very low expectations to start with). I’m well-rested and off to my next adventure!
