Experience Luxury at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka: Unwind in Style

If you have been following my posts, I stayed 4 nights in the Hilton Garden Inn and was upgraded to gold status. Yay!

Can’t wait to experience my newly upgraded status, my first pick was DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka. Just a 3.5 hour bus ride away from Singapore

Arrival

I booked a TWIN GUEST ROOM as it was the cheapest at MYR338, I was upgraded to a higher floor. As a solo traveller, I’m not picky with the room type, and most importantly pocket friendly.

I arrived at 2 pm, and early check-in was possible but they still require 10 more mins for a final touch, meanwhile, I can wait and have a drink in the Axis Lounge and they will bring me the room keys

Facilities

There is also a gym and sauna, steam room.

Drooling away with the buffet selection. The one that stands out the most for me was the Roti Bakar (Toast Bread in Malay), how often do you get a chance to toast your bread with charcoal?

Thoughts

Doubletree Hilton Melaka is over 3km away from Jonker Street and 1.5km away from the nearest megamall. You can easily book a GrabCar, from MYR7 to Jonker Street. There are cafes and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. It can be too luxurious and expensive for a budget traveller especially if you don’t have status with Hilton. It’s definitely worth a stay to wind down.
