Moxy Cologne Muelheim Arrival

A 3-hour bus ride from Amsterdam and here I am in Cologne, Germany. I will only be here for a night and I was contemplating where to stay and almost settle for the Ibis hotel in Cologne Central, however, the prices increase each time I waited. €120 a night in Ibis. No Way!

I was browsing through Marriott, and there’s a member prepay rate (card provided but they didn’t charge anything) the catch is… it’s Non-Refundable and Changeable. I went for Moxy as it’s €99 a night and I am curious to experience the “stylishness” of Moxy, targeting Millennial travellers like myself. It’s not located in Central but a tram ride away won’t hurt.

As a Gold member with Marriott, I wasn’t offered any room upgrade but the receptionist kindly offered me breakfast for free which is very nice and my request for a late checkout was granted right away.
