Arrival
I took the Phuket Smart Bus which cost THB100 per trip, it’s affordable and a 5 mins walk to Outrigger Surin Beach Resort from the bus stop.
I arrived at Phuket International Airport close to the 5 pm departure and I’m not surprised that they don’t go according to the timetable and told me “6 pm.. 6 pm”. I can either pay 6x more for a taxi/walk out of the airport and book a grab car for slightly less or I can hang out at Cafe Amazon which is just around the corner. Don’t mind me as I am travelling solo with one carry-on and not in a rush so every cent counts!
A big warm welcome from the staff and seated comfortably while we go through the check-in. Was guided to download the Outrigger Resorts App where I can access all hotel information or chat with the Concierge if I require any assistance, how convenient!
As a GHA Platinum, I was given a one-tier upgrade. I was assigned to room 231 with a pool view. It’s located on Level 3 with no lift, so I can expect to hit extra cardio throughout my stay. The lovely staff will be happy to assist with your luggage

Newly renovated, and open less than a year ago. So everything is very new and fresh.
Facilities
There are two swimming pools available in the resort.
Breakfast: Nalu Bar & Grill
It’s an ala-carte breakfast with superb menu choices, I ordered a Western and Asian dish. I really enjoyed the egg benedict, it was so delicious that I ordered it again the next morning.

I managed to double dip the offer for my stay in Outrigger Surin Beach Resort Phuket and earned D$ 100. With this sweet deal, my stay is almost free! Though the discovery dollar can only be applied to my next visit at any GHA properties.
It was wonderful staying in this resort and I definitely will visit again sometime in the future! perhaps in a different room?
