I always look forward to visiting Kuala Lumpur for its delicious food and…. my favourite pastime! hotel hopping (in lieu of shopping) for 5 nights in 5 different hotels. The top priority for me when picking accommodation is the cost. I’m intrigued to experience HGI Puchong due to its affordable rate. Let’s find out if it’s any good!
Getting to HGI Puchong from KLIA may be a bit tricky without a car but where is the fun if there weren’t any “challenges”? These are the option:
1. Grab Car flat rate of RM65
2. JETBUS to Putra Height and Transfer to SPL Line to Puchong Perdana +/- RM15
3. KLIA Transit + Grab Car: KLIA to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station (RM9.40) Grab Car: ERL Putrajaya Sentral to HGI Puchong RM20.10 (plus Tolls Charges)
I missed the last bus for the day so for a more budget-friendly trip, option 3 it is!

Thoughts
This whole blog post could have been a bit more informative if I didn’t skip out on the outdoor pool, fitness centre and complimentary breakfast. It doesn’t always go like this and I will try to snap photos whenever I can. Due to the long travel and fatigue, all I wanted to do was sleep! The room was a little run down and how they cover up the sink defect was a little unsightly to see. But it was still comfortable, comparable with all HGI hotel experiences worldwide
M SQUARE Mall Puchong was right beside the hotel but when I visited it was dead with limited food options and I will need to walk out towards Puchong Perdana LRT Station to buy some decent food. Not a big deal for me and ordered from Grab Food instead. Despite the location and limited food options, it was inexpensive to start with so I am happy with it and earned an easy extra 2879 Hilton points 👍
