A Week In Thailand: I Stayed in 3 Different Ibis Hotel

Same-same but different” so which one impresses me the most?

On my first week in Thailand, I challenge myself to only stay in Ibis Hotel (Standard Room). With Discover Asia Like Never Before (Mastercard Exclusive) promotion, I only paid an average of SGD$33-$40 a night. I clocked a total of 6 nights to maintain my Silver Status (though I’m only a few nights away from Gold)

Here are the properties that I stayed in, the room layout is somewhat similar so I won’t get into it. Ibis might be an Economy brand, but the service provided was top-notch and I haven’t faced any issues with the in-room facilities

Ibis Pattaya
Ibis Hotel
Ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 4
Ibis Patong

I patronise Ibis or Ibis Style frequently due to its affordability, I do often make a cost comparison within the area and sometimes I might get lucky that a Mid-Range brand like Mercure/Novotel (if available) may cost almost the same or $5~$20 more.

As an Accor Silver member, complimentary welcome fruits (sometimes with additional snacks) and a letter will be placed in my room. Here is what I was given throughout the three ibis hotels that I stayed in

Ibis Pattaya: Nuts & Dried Fruits
Ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 4: Mini cookies and a bottle of juice
Ibis Patong: A crab towel origami
Standard welcome fruit

What do you think? To be honest, all are equally impressive and have their unique way of treating their elite member. As I enter my room, It’s refreshing to see something different rather than a standard fruit plate.
