I signed up for InterContinental Ambassador a year ago for USD$200 and one of the benefits was the complimentary weekend night certificate which is about to expire. I tend to be more spontaneous with my travel so without making any plans for December the price of a plane ticket doesn’t seem too friendly for my pocket. So I have decided to have a nice staycation in my home country.
So there are two InterContinental properties here in Singapore that I can utilise my free weekend certificate. I have stayed in both properties before many years ago. I am revisiting InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay which may not be the best choice as the King Classic room size is relatively small at 24 sqm vs the King Classic room at Intercontinental Singapore (80 Middle Road Singapore) at 38 sqm. I pick whatever it’s cheaper despite the room size, I like it cosy anyway!

My final free breakfast as a welcome amenity option before being downgraded to IHG Platinum Tier in 2024. It was lovely being a Diamond member for the past two years thanks to an IHG system glitch. Since the bug has been patched I won’t maintain the top tier status.
