I have an early flight from Senai Airport, so I have decided to stay a night in Johor Bahru Central.

By Foot

Look out for “Public Bank” as you exit City Square Mall. Cut through via the stairs (where the 2 gentlemen are standing)

Not to be confused with Holiday Inn Johor Bahru Central. The location of HI Express is slightly out of the way but it’s possible to walk, after you cut through, just follow Google Maps. If you are travelling in a group with luggage you are better off booking a GrabCar from City Square Mall as the path can be steep and uneven

Conclusion

Overall I had a great time here, yes the location may be ‘nay’ for some, but it’s quiet and away from the crowds and depending on your travel style, it’s worth considering staying here. The price is affordable, and breakfast is included. I order from delivery apps and just enjoy my meal in the room.
